If you have decided to get married and have not yet booked a wedding venue then maybe you should consider Gosfield Hall. This is a magnificent building located near Braintree in the county of Essex. It is now though of as being one of England's most magnificent wedding venues.

The original building was built in 1545 under the gaze of Sir John Wentworth, a member of Cardinal Wolsey's household. It has been hosting royal visitors ever since that time when Queen Elizabeth often sojourned here.

In the eighteenth century the building was remodelled as it became the home of the Marquis of Buckingham. The deer park was landscaped and a magnificent ballroom was constructed.

During the French Revolution Gosfield House became the home of King Louis XVIII as well as his Queen and their entourage. He was able to maintain his grand lifestyle free of the threat of the guillotine.

You can also get a feel for the regal ambience by choosing to have your wedding here. You will be surrounded by priceless antiques and paintings that illustrate the magnificent history of Gosfield House. This is why today it is a very popular venue.

You would be hard pressed to find another location that can match. Even if you would prefer an outdoor wedding then this can still be arranged at Gosfield House. The carriageway leading up through the grounds has now been licensed to conduct ceremonies. Once you have exchanged rings you can retire to the private bar to continue the celebration.

If you do not want to quickly depart from such luxury then you can rent one of the twenty luxurious bedrooms that are on offer in the building. You can spend your night like a true king and queen.
